For the past few months, my friend Danielle and I have been scheming up some fun little projects. Not Nowhere. Which by the way, the name took us forever to come up with, and ended up coming from Danielle's husband. You might get the reference if you are from Saskatchewan. If not, no worries, don't think about it too hard. But everything is finally coming together, and I think we can both see what it will be in the end. Below is a little write up about the project. Website coming soon. If you are a Saskatchewan graphic designer or photographer, and would like to be involved, email me, let's chat.
About: Created as a collaboration between Carey Shaw (photographer) and Danielle Tuchelt (graphic designer), Not Nowhere is (to be) a resource for Saskatchewan based graphic designers and photographers to showcase creatives, strengthen the visual communications community and share inspirations.
Us: Both graduates of the Alberta College of Art and Design, we never met until we both moved back home to Saskatchewan. Over the years we have discussed the idea of collaborating on a project, but it wasn't until we both found ourselves as full time freelancers, that the blog Not Nowhere was able to be dreamt up. With Not Nowhere we want to share what we love, what inspires us in our work, and those Saskatchewan photographers and graphic designers who share similar ideas and aesthetics. Not Nowhere will include studio visits, artists' personal projects, inspirations, curated guest posts, meet-ups, resources and behind the process videos.
