I'm getting an office!
For the past while I have been looking for a place to call an "office". I thought about rearranging my living space to accommodate this, but working from home can be either distracting or obsessive. So, I figured having a place to be able to go and work, and meet clients is what I needed. I didn't really need a studio, since really, I never shoot in a studio.
After much searching and asking around it just so happened that a friend of mine, who I used to work with, had an office space open at the arts organization that he runs, Sâkêwêwak Artist's Collective. It is the perfect size for me, only a few blocks from home, and has a wall of cork board! And now, I am blissfully decorating the office in my head and planning on what pieces I will be framing to hang on the walls. I fricking love it!
Here are a few of the images I have been using for inspiration on how to decorate it. Project #1 will be re-upholstering the 3 chairs and stool I bought second hand yesterday. Stay tuned to see how many times I staple gun myself...
