Today, in -40 weather I must point out, I photographed a procession of boats being carried through our city's main park to the MacKenzie Art Gallery. The boats will be installed for an upcoming installation exhibition by Joan Scaglione (more on that soon). Following the exhibition, the installation will be burned up. The rest of the images? You will have to wait for the catalogue.
I originally thought we were nuts to be doing this. People driving by thought we were nuts. The news thought we were nuts. But it went great, and was amazing to see a community of volunteers carry these boats through the snow covered park.
Then my camera decided to fog up.
Then we ate lentil soup.
It was a good day.
